Got there around 9:30. caught alot of bluegill up to 6". You could see the swarms of these fish in the shallows just hanging out. The milfoil has taken over this lake, and it is a good idea to try to avoid the patches of weeds as they are annoying. I also saw a young duck dive under, and there was alot of splashing for a minute and then it never came up. It makes sense as I saw huge bass patroling the line of weeds, probably 5 lb plus. I had never seen a bass that big. I threw my whole tacklebox at them, but couldn't entice the big boys. Tried spinners, cranks, and a wacky rigged roboworm. Along with the bluegill I caught a small bass, 8", and caught my first bass on a plastic, even though it was the size of the roboworm. Good day though.

Try the lures one at a time. When they are still in the tackle box it's hard to hook 'em.

There are too many bluegill in this lake. The bluegill are stunted and the bass of any size are satiated. All they have to do is open their mouths. My best method on this lake for bass is to be myself. Oh, specifically to irritate them. Good fishin' to ya.

Yeah, muskie sized topwater make the same splash. And they have hooks on the outside!
