I arrived at the lake close to 5:30am. I was fishing by 6. First fish didn’t come until about 6:30am. Missed a couple of bites before that. I was done with my limit and back at the launch by 7:30am. Bad news is that the boat still leaks.
I got most of the fish at the mid 20 foot mark using the Dick Nite Pink Splatter dodger and Wannafish A Lure Pink Splatter lure for 4 fish and a Dick Nite hammered 50/50 dodger and Wannafish A Lure Bloody Mary for one fish. Corn with anise scent was the favorite this morning. None of the fish were big. 2 were males, 1 female, and 2 that I couldn’t tell.
It is going to be in the 80’s today and the air temperature was probably 64 degrees. I forgot my sunglasses so it was very bright without any wind.


We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons.
