Did good again, sorta----again!

Got 8 fish, one at 2.11 and one at 3.13 again. Found another bed with a 2.11 on it. Both smallies and both on a tube.

Lost a BIG one that was a solid 5, maybe a 6 pounder, looked like a smallie. About 15 feet from the boat when it jumped and threw the crankbait -- AGAIN!.

4 hours on the lake and figured that was enough, save some for tomorrow. :-)

water temp at 72. Up about 5 degrees from yesterday.

Sometimes even when you jam that rod tip WAAAYYYY under water they still get that one jump in. It's also what keeps us coming back. It's the same intermittent reinforcement that slot machines use. That's why people stay hooked... and fish don't...

Well, at 4 foot deep, the fish didn't have much elsewhere to go. lol

Oh ya forgot. She took line out on the strike, one savage grab and run strike. I'll have to go back tomorrow and see if there is a bed there, forgot to go back and look. Never been a bed in that area before. I have caught largies and smallies in that spot and area many times. Haven't caught a BIG fish in that area for a long time. Too bad the new people at that spot fish most days and keep the fish. I also caught a small smallie about 20 yards away before the biggie hit.
