Went to Island lake early this morning. Had a slim window this weekend to fish and decided to take it. Trolled with a pink wedding ring and copper spoon with a worm attached. Caught a trout right off the bat but after that nothing significant. Tiny little bass were nibbling at my worms when I was still fishing and they were so small they would just take the worm without the hook. I swear they had knifes and forks with them, a lot of well fed fish today with little results on my end. I was all alone and the canoe just isn't as maneuverable or comfortable like it is with somebody in the front. The wind catches it way easier and it makes a lot of racket because the waves get under the front and slap the bottom of the boat.
