Took the grankids on an outing to bonnie for a day of fun and fishing, granddaughter caught the first perch and then a catfish to which she shouted, "what is thatthing' BIGGEST FISH SHE EVER CAUGHT. then she proceeded to outfish all of us with the biggest perch also. we caught 2 nice crappies but they wern"t biting very well on the jigs we presented, grampa caught i perch and untangled lots of things. a good day was had by all, by the way a pair of peregrine falcons have taken up residency

Glad to hear it. Hows the creek level? I was out there a couple weeks ago and it was the lowest Ive ever seen it in a while.

Sounds like a good time. :)

I cruised up there about the middle of August and the creek averaged one foot deep. Crappies were jumping out of the water left and right, all day. I had no idea they did that..

The water was naasty with left over spawn(i assume mainly catfish..) and algae bloom.
