7/24/2012 12:13:00 AMAn old gentleman told me about Spring Lake and said I would be surprised at the fishing (he lives on the lake and has fished it for many, many years). Tip: when the sun is bright, troll a little deeper - harsh sun hurts their eyes and they drop down a few feet. And, if it clouds up, take the weight off. The lake is only 32 feet deep. On sunny days i run the downrigger between 8' to 12'. As the temperature of the lake rises, they will drop to cooler water. I had my best catching using a holo neddlefish about 30' behind the boat.
