Stopped by Riffe and camped for two days one at Tadnapiam park and then Mossyrock. Fished the fishing bridge the first day and caught a nice smallie, it was too big to lift up onto the bridge. Then caught a couple of silvers. Decided to go to the dam to finish out our limit for the day. The fish at the dam were biting at around 30-40 ft during the hottest part of the day and towards evening around 15ft to 20ft. The water was so clear you could see the massive school of fish swimming around in circles. They were literally a silvery wall of coho all the way down til you couldn't see them in the depths, thousands of them. Next day came back to the dam before heading home and went with the same depth and pieces of worms and got our limit. If you have a slip bobber and can get down to them they will bite anything, you just have to have your gear at the right depth. I ran out of bait at one point and was using dead worms and shrimp people dropped, fish never cared. On a side note the last couple of times Id fished at Riffe we never found a fish with worms, but this time about 50% of our fish were loaded with worms, to the point that their meat wasnt the usual red color but a gross yellow. I assumed from the worms sucking all the nutrients from the fish. It was a fun two days, met some wonderful people like always! Fish were all around 14-15in.
