Fished Mineral Lake for the first time this year. This was only the second time I've been able to see Mt. Rainier while fishing the lake. The lake had more boats on it than I had ever seen. There were a lot of recreational boats along with the usual smaller aluminum fishing boats. With 2 people fishing, we only caught 3 fish. We had number 4 a few feet from the net and it broke free. The fish caught ranged in size between 10 and 12 inches. We saw other people doing about as well. We saw a lot of fish on the fish finder, we just couldn't get them to bite. We even tried trolling. Once again, we did not see anyone catch any of the big fish that have made this lake famous.
