Went out to Eloika for a few hours on Saturday before the wind chased me & my friend Steve off the lake. By the time we were heading for the launch there were white caps, & swells big enough to prevent us running more than 2 or 3 mph without swamping Steve's 14 ft duck boat. We fished the northern end from noon til' around 3:00. I only caught one 2.2 lb Largemouth, on a gold Rapala XR10. I lost another one next to the boat that was in the 4 lb class, that one hit a Black/Blue jig w/ a black #11 pork frog trailer. Not much action & the wind makes it impossible to fish plastics effectively. But we both had a good time & didn't get skunked so I can't complain. **These are a few of my favorite things: warm water, warmer weather, & serious Bass Thumb!

Sounds like a challenge, but fun. So, the Mohawk is sort of like my fishing hat? Changes the wind flow, thereby the effect on the line, which of course leads to better presentation and more fish.
Have a good one!

Wind on that lake? Switch to spinnerbaits and jerkbaits and keep at it! White caps suck but if you can fight it it can get real good real quick!
