Success! We went with smallmouths in mind and were not disappointed. Largest was 17 inches weighing in at 4lbs. The hot lure was a 3in plastic crawdad with a 1/32 oz jig head. Find small coves were streams enter the reservoir. It appears the smallmouths are in spawn, get'em while their hot. We also picked up 10 Crappies which are always excellent pan fare. We picked up a couple of nice Silvers at the east end where the river dumps into the Res. using plastic grubs of all things. We stumbled onto this by fishing for smallmouths. After bouncing the bottom and not getting a hit began to reel in quickly and Bam!
