The lake was low, but has come up slightly since early spring. The boat ramp at the Mossy Rock campground was high and dry so we used the old highway instead, the longest launch I've ever made, but servicable in any case. Our target fish was Smallmouths which were not taking any of our offerings. Spotted many fish on the fish finder. They are there, but not quite ready to turn it on. Since #1, we're stubborn and #2, we don't like getting skunked we'll be back. I'll guess that the boat ramps at the other end of the lake are high and dry also. Don't feel bad if the locals look at like you're crazy wasting your time on bass. Their #1 target in Riffe is Silvers.
