Got in a few hours this evening with my son.Brought a mix of gear to target any species but found some perch suspended a few feet from the bottom in depths ranging from 10-15 ft. Nothing big, average size was around 6 inches approx. Was hoping we might find some crappies nearby but ended up running out of daylight. All fish caught/released on small jigs. Heavy rain at times and air temp 55 degrees. Did see a few trout anglers trolling but unknown results.Did see plenty of trout active on the surface shortly before sundown. A pretty fun evening on the water, will have to give it another go again soon.

If you happen to notice, how was the water clarity? They sprayed it for weed control not long back, and when they did that in the past Ohop looked like sewer water for weeks after.

Hey Ricky. Ohop certainly had a green/brown stain,I would say visibility was around 5 feet.

thanks. Sounds like the lake is still recovering from the last weed spray. Hey, if you get the Tacoma News Tribune, there is a fishing report in the sports section. Today's report lists Ohop Lake. He almost quotes your fishing report word for word. Join the crowd. He's used my and a friend's fishing report many times.

Cool, that's Jeff Mayor,he's a pretty nice guy,Todd took him out musky fishing on Lake Merwin last year. Getting the itch to head up to Tapps for a little musky/bronzie fishing.....or maybe its a rash
