Headed up to Eloika about 9:00. I had my pontoon boat, so I launched at the public launch at the south end. I fished the whole east shoreline. In the morning I had some luck fishing Zoom Horny Toads and just bringing them straight back. When it would get into an open patch in the dollar pads they would blow up on it. At about noon they began to ignore my frog, so I began to throw a tequila shad Brush Hog into the pads. Caught a couple pounders, and had probably a four pounder jump off. Caught a couple dinks on a purple and blue flake senko and that was pretty much it for the day. Hard to find spots to make a cast because the weeds are really high and dense.

Yes, tough to fish in a low profile boat. I usually fish it standing in my "bass style" boat.

It was a struggle, yes. But until I'm old enough to even buy a bass boat, I'll have to stick with a pontoon!
