Started out with the usual dock fishing 6am. Caught 1 dink right away on a senko. Went 2 more hours without a bite. Then another dink on a dock, Carolina rig. Had another hit 15 min later around 9am real close to boat. Set hook too hard and snapped my line. Saw the fish turn when I set the hook and it was at least 3 lbs. dead fishing for another hour and a homeowner told me to try 20ft of water in front of drift wood point. I did. Marked fish in 12-15ft of water and threw Carolina rig tube. 1 big thump in the hour I fished there, felt the fish, set the hook and went slack....obviously a musky. Overall pretty frustrating day. Seems to be the case lately? Anyone have experience fishing the deeper water at drift wood point? Please help!

I wish I could give you some great advise this time of the year, but I don't have any. Until August it can be tough. All you have to do is go to the Lake Tapps reports over the years and look at those for mid June on through July. For the most part, not good.

I understand. Been pretty frustrating lately. I've been trying on my own recently since my boy is currently grounded for lack of effort in school. He will be back this week as I'm taking him over to banks lake for a two day trip! Hopefully I can put him on some bass as this will be our first time on the lake.
