After my fun at Upper Goose, Sat. morn. we awoke to a windy, cloudy day. We decided to pack up and give Warden Lk a try. I figured that it would be packed with the opening day crowd. We drove in about 1pm and was very surprised to see very few camping there. I stopped by one group of 4 fishing the shoreline to ask how the action was and they held up a stringer full of nice 15-17 inch fish. They said they would be leaving in a bit and we were welcome to camp there. I jumped at the opportunity. There are only 2 spots to camp by the water on Warden and that was the best spot. Be warned there are a million ticks out now in the area. Fishing wasn't great, but we managed to catch 4 nice 16 inch bows in about 3 hours of fishing with marshmallow and worm. My gf was using powerbait for her 2 fish. It dropped below freezing Sat. night, so the fishing was very slow on Sunday. I picked up another 16 inch bow and that was it. Nobody was catching anything on Sun. I spoke to several that fished S. Warden Lk and it was very poor.
