12/23/2013 5:47:00 PMNope, I've never fished deeper than 55. I learned in shallow lakes so don't really like anything deeper than 20 feet, which is a stretch anyway. :-)

12/26/2013 1:02:00 PMI caught two smallmouth 4-5 and 3-1 the last week of October. The surface temp was around 52. And I caught both fish at around 37 ft off the side of a point in front of the home with all the bronze statues close to the Thornwood Mansion.

12/29/2013 10:46:00 AMMid lake on the same side of the lake as the public boat launch. You can't miss Thornwood Mansion. But smallies will gravitate to the sides and ends of any point, and American has several. There's a great topo map of American on this site that show some.
