Caught a limit of Kokes off my Kayak this morning at American Lake...the bite wasn't red hot but persistence paid off. Used hoochies in pink and pearl behind dull colored dodgers in 50/50 and copper/pink with gulp maggots in white and pink. Most fish came from 21 and 27 feet off the DR but one came off my flatline about 45 pulls back.

Thanks to Toni, Kokanee Slayer, Eenakok and Kokanee Kid for the tips and door prizes at the Kokanee Kraze seminar Saturday!

Nice job, thanks for the report! It's funny how some days go- I talked to another fellow (Riverwolf) who also did well today. I was out there starting around 7:30 and fished till noon, but caught nothing. I was fishing pretty much the same depths, using similar gear. Just how it goes sometimes I guess!

I left the lake around noon, but came back at 4 pm for the "evening bite". The wind was gone- it was very calm waters, and the lake was just about empty. It alternated sun and rain, but I managed to catch a couple of 'em at around 20 feet deep.

Which kayak was you?

Thanks! Yes, It can be frustrating, I found most of my bites occurred immediately after I'd either changed my presentation or scent. I was the guy in the ivory colored Hobie Outback with the sharks mouth on the front.
