No fish jumping, virtually none showing on the Lowrance Elite-5 HDI. Started at the dam and went east the entire length of the lake. Looks like I need to study up on times of day (same time as yesterday and caught 3) and the differences in the weather (decent day). I will keep trying.

Another thought would be to check what the river flows (lake pool) might be. One year I went in March and did real well. The next month in April we could hardly get any fish. I looked and the pool was filling and I thought that it was the current in the lake making the fish take shelter somewhere that was harder to find.

Also there aren't any kokanee at this lake. They are coho salmon.

Yep land lock Coho :) I had luck using pink, green, chartreuse, yellow, and white. I was using cha cha squid skirts by mack lures. Shrimp scents worked the best and a sliver of raw prawn. Oh and Rseas has a great video on the lake if you look in the video section. Tight lines.

Thanks for the report.... It's hit and miss on that lake... It's an awesome place though. A bad day on Riffe Lake is still a great day!!!
The Coho will be a coming soon.

As you can tell, fish I.D. IS important! If you think the coho in Riffe can be difficult to dial in, wait 'till you get into kokanee fishing! LOTS of technical tips to help dial you in, Merwin is a good place to start for them. But back to Riffe, some days at Riffe alls it takes are shrimp fished under a bobber near the dam,, other times you have to look for them and try diff. techniques. A good bottom finder really helps, trying diff. presentations to schools at various depths is a good place to start, also past posts on Riffe will be helpful. Are you using a downrigger? Bob R

The Fish that I caught on 4/1/2014 had massive amounts of worms in its gut. They weren't bloated but there was a lot of them. I've read different views on whether they are ok to eat. They were little white ones.

ya, we had the same experience with parasites a couple years back. Definitely a turn off. BTW, I edited the report to reflect salmon, not kokanee.
