Tough day,
I arrived to the boatlaunch at 6:30, I got turned around and missed the boatlaunch and lost 1/2 hour just trying to find the launch, on to the report.
I started the day intending to target kokes, I tied on a half&half Dick night dodger with a red wedding ring tipped with a pautzki salmon egg. I don't have a downriggers or fishfinder on my raft, or a motor, so I was fishing blind, changing speeds and direction, and adding and subtracting weight often with not so much as a bump after 2 hours, so I called it quits on the kokes, and started targeting cutts, I switched out my gear to a rebel bumblebug, and headed towards the shoreline to troll shallower water. After 30 minutes with nothing I finally got my first bite of the day, and caught a 10" cutthroat trout, then right away I caught another one. Then 5 minutes later another, all skinny and 10". After the spurt of action the bite died, and i couldnt buy a bite, i threw the box at them. On the bright side it was a beautiful morning and for the first 3 hours I had the entire lake to my self, the water was like glass with no wind until just before I reached the launch. I pulled off the lake at 10:45 with 3 cutts in the raft. Not a terrible day, but alot of work for 3 skinny cutts.
