DAY 2! What a difference a day can make! Woke up at 5am and was surprised not hear wind blowing and quickly got packed and out of hotel room by 5:30 and headed to the launch to see if I could get the Tin Cup on the water today. The lake looked like a sheet of glass and quickly go the boat ready to launch.

Now had a gracious invite to go out with Aaron and his wife but couldn't resist giving this a shot today to try out some of the gear I had brought along and wanted to target some Mackinaw too today so put the boat in at 6am and headed across to the monument area. Ran into Fish Dawg and the fish princess who were already working the area and had one in the boat. Also saw the guys from Macks lures out there as well as Mike@bills! Again another great testimony to the event Saturday night as we all shared some words of encouragement and kept at it!

I worked my way down by the blue roof condos and seemed like that was where the party was as there must have been about 30 boats down there weaving there way among each other. As I was heading across to rocky point, finally saw one rod start to dance and pulled if off the clip and YES! finally had my first Lake Chelan koke on the line. After a little tug of war got it in the net and was hoping to get a few more to bring home but couldn't get another one. I did though rig up one with an ace hi-fly tipped with pike minnow to try my first attempt at hooking a lake trout. It turned out just to be an attempt as was hard to keep near the bottom as the wind had picked up a bit and was having a tough time of it so figured I would head in before it got too late as I was heading to Ephrata to leave the Tin Cup at my brother-in-laws for the Sun Lakes derby next Saturday and then it's a whole week of fishing in E WA after mother's day ( which is next Sunday BTW) haha

Got back to the launch and saw just about everyone there who had the same idea so we shared some more ideas and tips and headed our separate ways but wanted to give a shout out to RSEAS who I forgot to mention in my last report for the incredible meal prepared by him and his willing family to feed us all!! It was great!!

See you on the water!

Way to go getting the tin cup out and managing a fish, good to see a friendly face on the water. Those pesky kokanee can be elusive!
