Tried Meridian this evening. On the water at 5 PM and had 2 hours to try my luck. 20 minutes in I had 2 hits on two poles. One down 10 feet and the other flatlining with a small egg back 50 ft. Used pink on both with one a Kokanee killer and the other a wedding ring both tipped with shoe peg corn. I could only work one pole of the first 2 hits, got it to within 15 feet and he jumps and spits. The second didn't pull the release (that's why I went for the flatline pole). When I popped the line it fought for a dozen cranks and then was gone. Reset both lines and half an hour later another hit on the flatline. Landed it and it was a keeper. One more hit of the downrigger. It was a good fighter but as soon as it hit the surface it was gone. Nice drive by for the short amount of time I had to "stress relieve".

You should check out the Kokanee 101 article that is posted on the Washingtonlakes homepage. Even if you are an experienced kokanee fisherman, there is some good information there, especially talking about reducing your lost fish ratio. Cheers!
