After I failed to catch anything from the fishing dock at nearby Silver Lake (from 4:45 AM to 5:45 AM), I drove over to West Medical Lake's north parking lot. I was the first one there, and had the entire lake to myself for about an hour (6:15-7:20 AM) until other shore fishermen walked towards me. In my 1 hr 40 minutes of tossing my 1/4-oz. silver Kastmaster slab-jig, I caught (and released) 3 Rainbows, each ~12" long. Six other shore fishermen were all bait casting, and catching a few Trout of similar size. We were all fishing near the first Ponderosa Pines along the Northwestern shoreline. There were no boats on the lake at all, but there were numerous ducks, grebes, Redwing Blackbirds, etc. squawking away.
