Got a later start than intended but was fishing with a bud by ~8:15. Took about 45 min for the first hookup that we lost. Then for the next ~2hrs it was good fishing with a hookup just about every 5-10 minutes, we put 9 in the boat and lost more than I care to admit while the bite was hot. Then they seemed to know we were looking for our last fish and the bite slowed down to about every 20-30mins and it took us a good hour to hour and a half to catch that last one cuz we also managed to lose another ~4 before we could get it to the boat. Would have a 5 star day (and really it was) but for that last fish.
A few came at 23' down but most all the action was at 30'. Plain shoepeg was the preferred bait, BT Garlic produced a lot as well. We were using home made wedding rings in gold and gold/red with 50/50 and pink splatter dodgers. Wish I could fish it all week but guess I'll go to work instead.......Tight lines all!

check out my post on the same day. the hooks i use, for the front bait holder. i trial a #4 red gammi octopus. yesterday, i lost one fish. one only. a few drive bys. these #6 kahle hooks, are better for me, then the drop shot, or ANY other i have used. i have used these, since 1979. not allways the easiest to find, either.
