Took the wife and little one out to Waitts lake to try night fishing. Have not night fished a lot, but I have heard that Waitts is a good one for it. Had a blast. We were targeting perch, but did not find very many. After the sun went down we caught probably around 15-20 crappie, the only problem was that they were all around 4" long... so we moved out to deeper water. Ended up out in 28-32 ft deep and that is were we found the trout. Between the three of us we caught 12 in 30 minutes or so. Only three brown trout 14-16" and one rainbow at 17". The rest were 12-13" rainbows. The little one was getting tired, it was around 10 so we called it a night and headed home.
