Every once in awhile an escape destination is called for…Curlew Lake is such a place. My wife, the Springer and I had very enjoyable stay at Tiffany's Resort on Curlew Lake on 9/13 & 9/14. We fished from the dock at the resort both days with a mere hour of fishing on the afternoon of 9/13 producing rainbows in the 13"-15" range. Boaters seemed to be limiting with no problem. As grouse hunting was the other goal, I fished solo from the dock for a short time the morning of 9/14 with a catch of one 14" rainbow prior to a grouse hunt departure. I heavily recommend Tiffany's and the town of Republic as a great friendly and affordable getaway.
