The three of us launched the drift boat at 4:30 and never
saw a rise until about 8:00PM... It was at least 9:00PM
before the Hex begin to come off. Pretty good fishing
for about 30 minutes. I fished, nymph, emerger and adult.
By far, the most activity was on the extended body adult
patterns. We used both a spent wing dun and an upright
bucktail wing. The spent wing won hands down.
It makes for a long night as its at least 10:30 before the boat
is loaded and we are on the way home.
I think the Oct. fishing is far better and more a lot warmer.
We caught 4 cutthroat and one nice 14" brown.
