Took my boat out on Angle Lake Tuesday. I have fished it qute a bit in the past since my parents live close by. Anyways, I had heard that it got planted and people were catching them so I went to the park to check out how the guys fishing from the dock were doing Sat and Sun. I saw more than a few guys catching a limit within 30-40 min and hauling them to their car, only to return a short while later and resume fishing. I witnessed the same people doing this again Monday.

It is no surprise then, when I took my boat out Tuesday afternoon that it was actually quite tough to catch fish. There was at least a dozen people fishing off the dock from when I got there around 2pm until after dark so I think they were having a tougher time catching fish as well.

I trolled different spinners and lures (with and without bait) and couldn't get a strike. Finally, I caught a couple by casting out some powerbait under a bobber near the boat launch.

It seems like the planted fish all stuck really close to the launch (and fishing pier) and I assume many of them have already been caught. With a dozen or more people hauling out multiple limits, the few thousand fish that were planted don't stick around for long.

All the fish I saw and the few that I hooked were all under 11". Not even really worth keeping so I released mine. It sounds like the fish in Green Lake are a bit bigger and more plentiful still so I am going to try that.
