Went out today looking for bows and found kokes. They were spawn or post. Should be ok smoked.

Nice catch even if that wasn't what you were looking for. I am always amazed at how late the spawn is on the coastal lakes. Ours in Eastern Washington have long since spawned as far as I know.

Thanks, It was a great day for me I never had much luck for Kokanee on that lake.
I have fished American since 85 learn something new every trip.

Nice, if the meat is a firm red it will eat very well. I like to cook mine in the oven on a cookie sheet with a cookie drying rack to suspend the fish above so the fish turns out with less oil. I sprinkle it with lemon pepper seasonings and a bunch of dark brown sugar over the filet with some hot spicy rub to boot, comes out moist and a nice sweet heat. Nice job again.
