Today was a very interesting day on the water. Fishing wasnt exactly slow but it wasn't red hot. The bites were in phases. For the most part it was sunny until afternoon. Then the cloud cover came and it got a bit breezy. I trolled around wedding rings in all different colors with dick Nite dodgers. The fish finder was marking big schools around the 20 feet mark. Nothing hit below 15 ft. Got my limit in 3 hours with losing plenty others in that time frame. The green wedding ring tipped with a piece of corn and a worm was what produced my 2.5 lb 16 inch hold over rainbow. That was a very fun battle and was absolutely delicious for dinner. The meat a deep pink color and grilled up nicely. Ended up giving my uncle the other fish. Beautiful day in the water!!

The one on the far right looks like a kokanee but I could be wrong. It seems to have more of a forked tail, big eyes for size, and I don't see any spots but like I said I could be completely wrong and can't verify from pic.

Yes RiverHunter, it was a koke. I just forgot to mention it. The only koke I could land for the day. Thanks for clarifying.

Not sure if You have read the WDF plant reports lately ?. I was wondering myself . From what I saw some 8000 rainbow have been put into that lake since March 9th . So I guess if you were a fish in that lake a bit of the food supply might not be available now and maybe making for some hungry fish ? . Know what I mean?. The big one in the picture NICE FISH almost more fun than your supposed have . Sure sparks the desire for the next trip back to the lake. I see You on the water in many places time after time. Like to meet up with You some time and swap some ideas about gear. I fish from a little one person craft as well.

Greenboater- I would love to link up and chat. Maybe see what input you have as well! Im pretty sure I have seen you out as well but there are so many small boats out there it's hard to remember who is who. Thanks for the generous comment and hope to see you out there soon!

Hammering the docks with wedding rings, spoons, worms, powerbait and flies still nothing, need to get the boat out but its been windy for a pontoon. Will try your green wedding ring setup. I've got a Clown dick nite dodger, seemed kinda big for these guys. Not sure what size, it's probably 4 inches long.
