So the wife and I headed out today to try our luck. We put in at the boat launch and within 5 min I had my first fish. maybe 10" he next half hour was the same nothing bigger than 11" Nothing to write home about but it was a fish! I landed 4 and missed 3. We were trolling, I was set up with a dick nite dodger a snubber and a red wedding ring gold spoon with a night crawler with a nice tail. the wife was trolling pop gear with a wedding ring silver spoon. I was on fire in the small south lake. We tried the north lake for a while but nothing not even a bite. So we headed back to the south part of the lake and the wife hooked up immediately. I think its still a bit early.
