Note: I've been lurching around the threads and reports of Northwest Fishing reports for a few years so I've decided it is time to finally give back to the fishing community. The senior and I managed to both find a day off so I loaded the trusty boat and we were on our way. We decided to stop at Sprague Lake early off in the morning only to get dissuaded after a hour of getting tossed around by the outrageous swells and the fact that we hadn't had much luck catching those planted steelhead. So shaking off the sea-sickness we pulled out and headed to Fish Trap in hopes of getting away from some of the wind and catching some of fish to fill the smoker. We pulled in around 9:30 and threw out Macks Flash Lite trolling attractors one 4 blade pink and one 3 blade green both topped with a pink wedding rings loaded with crawlers, corn, and garlic glo scent smeared all over. This seemed to be the recipe for success because we limited out in 2 hours throwing back the smaller than 13" fish. Beautiful day, fun fishing, and some good fellowship with the senior made for just about a perfect day. Thank the Lord for the great nature he has created; it sure is breathtaking.
Tight lines and God bless,

Good report on getting out your Senior.

Perhaps you might want to review the WDFW Fishing Rules.
Page 17 has this to say about releasing fish while using bait.

whether kept or released.

Yeah, I very much appreciate the info. I did forget to say that I caught only two fish under 13" both of which threw back. Senior kept all five of his he caught and I kept 3. Thanks for keeping the honest, honest though!
