5/24/2015 8:44:00 AMYou sure fish a lot of the same lakes that I used to fish. I fished that lake a couple times back in the early 1990s. And, like you I caught some bass with the biggest being a 15 incher that weighed 2 pounds even. And, it was caught on a Rapala 11 S -- I think the same one you were using. Keep posting -- I probably will never fish many of those lakes again. Old age is becoming a factor.

5/24/2015 4:06:00 PMWill do Bob. Did you move away? Cavanaugh is a really pretty lake with Gin clear water and beautiful hills surrounding it. I wish they would do some work on the ramp. Pretty rough and the launch area is really shallow. Only my second time here but I will be back.

5/24/2015 6:36:00 PMYes, I moved to Port Orchard in 1997. Lived in the Renton Area for some 35 years and had an insatiable appetite to explore new lakes for bass. Ended up catching bass from more than 274 lakes in Washington. Not all lunkers for sure but any bass would do for starters. Caught bass over 5 pounds from 22 lakes, over 4 pounds from 39 lakes. over 3 pounds from 86 lakes, over 2 pounds from 123 lakes and over a pound from 209 lakes.
Yes, Cavanaugh is a beautiful lake. I didn't worry about launch conditions - fished it from a canoe. Actually I think most lakes have their own beauty.

Wow Bob some very impressive stats for sure. Never fished from a canoe but my son just purchased one and I think I'll invite myself to go fishing in it with him.
