Well we decided to give Alder another try and repeat the last trip we had. We arrived at the lake around 7am and no waiting and only a few other boats on the water. We headed out to the same spot, head left as you head out from the launch. The lake is about 12 ft lower then last time so I knew we had to watch our depth as not the find any stumps with our DR balls or gear. We lost a new Simon wobbler and lure set up last time we went out. I also got my new SS dowrnigger mounts installed and should have the SS mag mount next week for a solid set up with trouble free use for years to come.

We were using green dodgers and wobblers with the Toni's from Wanna Fish a lure, Bloody mary and the orange and gold lure, the orange and gold lure seem to be what the fish wanted today as 85% of the fish came on my pole with that lure. We also change up lures till we found that the green ice and pink ice was the second and third best lures of the day. We lost a ton of fish today and drive by's I felt like a burger joint. We only had a few hours to fish and so we decided to head out to the main lake and try our luck there.

We had our gear at 40' double stacked on my side running half way up. Most fish came today at the 16-20 ft mark with some small fish that got released if they could some were not so luck so they came home with us. The fish seem to be following the boat around as for as the FF showed they were all over the screen back and forth. We headed back to our little cove spot and started catching nice big fish so we stayed there for the next hour and headed out. I lost a really nice heavy fish about 10' from the boat what a beast the take down pulled the line from the clip and he was taking line and I keep my drag set pretty heavy, this was the last take down of the day for us.

The flavor today was bloody tuna and garlic with Pink corn.

sounds like a fun day. the stainless will be a nice addition to an already sweet set-up! interesting about the fish following the boat around, did that big fish break the leader, or slip the hook?

It slip the hook, I was trying to adjust the throttle on the outboard and slack the line....my fault. I had a nice fight on my hands and managed to get it over half way to the boat and then it was all heart break. Thanks, yes a great upgrade I really like them just wish they were not so expensive. The SS mag mounts that fit the older HS and DT/TS mounts cannon starting making again and the new part number is 1903003SV for those who want to order some or looking for them. They just got them in stock and the only place I could find them.

Thanks Toni, your lures are top notch all day long I was saying KOKE ME! then my rod would go off sometimes and my boy was laughing at my luck. He was upset I did not have a second orange and gold lure for his line, the luck I tell you. I think we lost the other one last time out, time for more!
