Only 4 fish, all Largies, but nothing like breaking in a new lure the proper way - three 5 pound bass in 2 hours and 42 minutes. All topwater with different, but similar cover situations, two the same, one slightly different, and in different areas of the lake.

The first was a 5.48, then a 5.39, then a 5.66. Nice strikes and nice battles. The first got down into the weeds and I had to hand line her up, but she wasn't done fighting yet so had a little battle on the handline. YEAH! The second swam out of the weeds on her own while I pulled her on up. The third I was able to keep her out of the weeds.

A 4th fish was on a chatterbait under circumstances that I wouldn't usually use a chatterbait in. This fish was the second fish for the day, then off to another part of the lake.

Only lost 1 fish, and 2 other strikes on the topwater, both missed, and a couple others on the chatterbait that I think were perch anyway.

After all this, I HAD to rate the day a 5, heaven forbid. LOL
