Well, I found out that WDFW had posted their fall stocking report with last year's information, so I thought the triploids were being stocked in November and totally missed last weeks big days.

I still went out on Monday and today (Wed) and had great fun both days (slightly better Monday) - kept 3 fish between two of us each day and both days 2 fish broke our lines. We fished lures only and caught both casting and trolling dick nite lures. 50/50 was best, followed by nickel-back frog and then the chartreuse/white kokanee color.

WDFW apologized to me in an email and sent on the current stocking info for fall - not as exciting as I thought, but still looking good and it starts next week.

The fishing has been extremely slow from the park since the plant. I lost 2 in the lillies last thusrday. a few have caught by others.

How was the meat color/quality in those triploids?

They were pretty colored and the flesh was pale - not fine dining but will smoke up nice. I went today (Thurs) as well. Hooked/lost 2 that spit the hook. Landed one on power bait and my friend got one casting/retrieving. On the way back one escaped from my live well to live another day (fortunately the one that didn't still have my hook & bait in his stomach). Ended up putting one in the cooler.
