Had a late start this morning, but what a beautiful day. Started fishing about 10:00 am. One other boat trolling around with us. We threw everything we had at them. Pinks, greens, oranges, combos, etc - hoochies, spoons, bugs, home-made masterpieces - shallow, mid and deep (down to 30' on the wire) - fire corn, berkley maggots, scents galore - And about 8 different dodgers. Surface temp was about 45 degrees, and we stayed between 1.3 and 1.6 mph.

We had a good smack down, on a silver spoon, but it didn't stick, that was it. We didn't see anything caught. It looked like the other guy was running a fly on top, and then a second rod on a rigger. Clearly, Meridian is reluctant to relinquish any of its inhabitants yet.

I would normally have given this a rating of 1, but with good conversation and spectacular weather, it was just too good, and any day spent fishing instead of working can't be a 1.

Hey nice to see others have tried. I was there Monday around 10am (late start). Had nothing. Not even a bite. But like you said any day fishing and not having to work is always better. Hopefully they start biting next month?

fishingat68; I wish I would have known you were a NWFR member, I would have stopped and talked to you a bit. Well at least I know others are giving it a shot as well. I sure figured we would get a little action at least. Well maybe I will see you there again.

Hey Joe, I went last week and pulled out a 8inch koke but that was over 3 hours worth of Koke fishing. Didn't even take the corn, hit on a small piece of night crawler. It will pick up with a few days of sunshine and 60 degree weather! Thanks for the report

cjrodarme, we fished the east end of the lake (end with the launch and public park). Big loop around the outside, we probably averaged about 75-100 yards off the shore for the most part. Don't know if that helps.
