3/18/2016 10:21:00 AMFisherben, the past few falls due to WFC lawsuits, there have been quite of few steehead smolts that were not allowed to be released into specific river systems. So instead of wasting the fish, they have planted them in lakes where there are no outlets for the fish to escape the lake. The fish come from Steelhead stock, but they basically are just clipped Rainbow trout. You can call them steelhead, which would be correct, as calling them rainbow trout would be correct as well.
