4/18/2016 7:29:00 PMYes it was and the other rods had the squiddy thang pink and the squiddy thang. We were running four rods. They wanted pink today.....nothing else worked. Oh and those little treble hooks are sharp....stuck in my finger way way past the barb....that fuc**r hurt pulling it out good thing it was the smaller ones.....lol.

4/19/2016 6:21:00 AMDon't you folks know about "snatching " the hook out without pliers or excessive pain? You tie a piece of STRONG line to the bend of the hook ( I like braid, but use a solid knot that won't slip). You then press down on the shaft of the hook, with other hand pull quickly backwards on line, the hook should come out easily, the downward pressure keeps the barb from sticking and it follows the cut already made. You can follow it on You-tube by goggling hook removal. I had to do it alone one day when a frisky trout threw a treble from a jointed rapala into my thumb while releasing it. THAT took a little coordination! The old guys at the launch were too squeamish to do it for me. It doesn't tear up your skin the same way as pulling with pliers. EVERY fisher person should learn this trick as hook setting in face or hands is traumatic enough. Bob R

4/19/2016 8:00:00 AMGood idea Bob, I have watched that video and if the hook was a bigger hook or stuck somewhere other then my finger then yes the string trick is the way to go. I am an old farm boy grab the pliers and yank!! Ouch and *&**$%* and all good back to fishing!! Oh the fun of fishing and by catch!! lol.
