Best day of bass and trout fishing I've had. I usually go spotting for bass but this day out of was my best 9lb bass 2.5 lb shy of state record.

Did you release the bass for others to enjoy catching? Are you sure your scale is accurate?

Bass was released and yes the fish was weighted by the fish and wildlife.

Ok man.. I am not saying the story is fabricated...but it seems to me that beautiful bass met its fate once you put that stringer through her lips, and gills. The fact that your walking on the path with the bass tells me she probably didn't live. Additionally I am sure the WDFW would have let you take a picture of the scale with the bass on it for your records since you let you go.

Sports fishing for BASS should always mean catch and release. Only catch and grease if the BASS didn't live.. for some reason; such as a long walk to the parking lot from the lake.
