Nice overcast afternoon with very little wind. Near perfect day on the lake, except for the fact that the bass didn't get the memo. Started on the South end and ended up circling the entire lake. Stuff that worked somewhat last time out didn't touch 'em today.
Almost turned the tackle box upside down and shook it out looking for something different! My son finally picked up one small bass on a bluegill crank. The fish then retaliated and drove the hook into Ben's hand while he was releasing it. Just past the barb, but he muscled it out, wrapped the bloody finger in a hanky (who left the first aid kit at home??) and fished on. Didn't do us any good though as that was the only fish.
