I fished from public launch and work the pads there was doing top water and spinner bait and got maybe a 12". But I don't own a huge boat and just a small trolling motor so didn't venture too far from launch and put in one time at the resort there and worked the pilings. That time was fairly windy and didn't have much luck there. I think I went in early October.

7/10/2016 7:44:00 AMNice way to beat your nemesis - With a 6 pounder! I have been fortunate enough to fish Silver Lake a few times. My best bass was only 5 pounds even. That fish hit a black spinnerbait on July 23, 1987. I like black spinnerbaits in stained water.

7/11/2016 11:27:00 AMYup, black is my favorite color spinnerbait. Got a 6lb 14oz biggie on Silver Lake on the black 1/4 oz spinnerbait Oct. 30, '89 over the weeds.
