So ready to go fishing… The last time I went was July 18th and I didn’t catch anything. Then the 24th I got to the launch but didn’t launch because of the power tilt didn’t work, and I couldn’t get the boat in the water.

Last night in my driveway the power tilt worked but I found that my second battery is bad. I still have the other. So I am ready to go in the morning.

Alarm goes off and I DO NOT want to get up! A half hour later I get up. I look out at the sky and think that they said it was going to be cooler but I put on some sun screen anyway. Within a half hour I am ready to go. It is 6am. I start the Explorer up and see that I had better make a side trip to get gas. And in the sky I can see the cloud bank coming.

I made it to the lake and I find out that my power trim on the big motor doesn’t want to go down. This time I didn’t have the transom saver that hooks to the trailer so I decide I will stay and just use the kicker if it starts. It did and I started trolling about 7:30am. The water temperature was 73 degrees.

Now I find that my kicker doesn’t want to slow down. The slowest I got it to go was 1.5.
When I decided to still fish I let down one anchor and the water skier came out. So I pulled it back in and went home.

As far as I knew I didn’t have a bite in the two hours I stayed. I had a camera going on one of the rods…
