No fires in the area this year are a blessing compared to last year this time... The Bar has continued to produce early AM and late PM big fish and the trench has filled out the bag nicely later in the morning. Those T4 Flatfish in GPLF have been the big fish producers on the Bar. Jeff Drifts baited with Pikeminnow have worked off the downriggers in the Trench and Silver Horde's Kingfisher Lites in Chartreuse Double Glow Splatterback in the 3.5 size worked off the outrigger rods in the Trench. 1.1 to 1.4 mph is the ticket. As always stay tight to the bottom. In the Trench, you can run the speed up to 1.7 or even 1.8 to cover a bit more water. September is a great time to visit Chelan and fish.
