9/30/2016 9:24:00 PMYeah, I was trying to keep it mostly top water just knowing that if he got that first big blowup he'd be hooked for life. Somehow it just didn't happen. Tried all my best lures. The fish were active but a bit skittish, you would sometimes see them boil up when casting as your lure flew over. I finally got the nice one after really getting back in the nasty stuff that bass boats likely don't get to. I did also try some chatterbait and other sub-surface stuff off the weed edge but wasn't getting anything that way either.
