10/27/2016 2:16:00 PMTerrible waste. Blue Lake holds 20+ inch Browns and Bows. Monster Smallies, great Perch fishing and the state will kill it so people catch stringers of 9 to 12" Trout. Don't worry, some of the locals will do a little stocking of their own. Banks lake is right next door.

10/28/2016 11:08:00 PMThat's sad. Those are great looking bass. It's too bad WDFW won't focus on managing mixed species lakes. We have some great mixed species lakes here in Spokane County, Liberty and Long (Lake Spokane on this website) come to mind. There's really something for everyone at places like that. In fact if I was hoping to catch a trout over 13" those lakes (and Medical...not West Medical) would be my top choices even with strong bass populations.
Seems like too many lakes they just want to plant rainbows that are barely big enough to swallow a PowerEgg and kill everything else. I get that the meat fishermen buy licenses too, but your issue is lack of bank access on most of those lakes (around here) rather than competing species. Just my humble opinion.
