Had a starter issue with the main motor so we decided to stay close to the launch and headed down the East Channel, using the kicker, looking for marks on the sonar. Found some straight across from Pleasure Point in 60 feet of water. Action was immediate and regular until we decided to stop with 20+ good sized perch in the bucket. Bait used was perch skin/meat that I cure with salt and keep frozen for outings such as these. Switched over to trout gear and trolled back to the launch, picking up one 14" cutt along the way. Could not have asked for better weather and we made it back to the house in plenty of time to fix the starter issue. (A little disassembly and grease was all that was needed)

Great day to be on the water no matter what lake you chose!! Good to see a report from you G-man! Killed me as I was driving around to see all the glass looking bodies of water around the sound!! Happy new year!
