I decided to go out to Lawrence lake today for a little bait and wait bank fishing. I arrived to the lake about 9:30 with my two rods. I decided to use power bait. I got the lines set and wham my first bite after a 3 minute soak. I landed a nice planter about 10 inches. I no sooner got the fish on the stringer, and noticed I had a fish biting on the other rod. I ended up catching my limit in about 2 hours of fishing. I missed about 5 or 6 hook sets. The largest trout was 13 inches. I did see a guy catch a brood fish about 3 or 4 lbs and saw several large fish that were jumping. I wasn't lucky enough to hook into a big one, but it was a great few hours at the lake. I have the fish already in the smoker!
