Me and a buddy went out to Sunday Lake to see if the Bass were on the bite. We got out around 7:30am and saw about 5 other anglers. Water temp is 59-62 throughout the lake. My Buddy Cal scored a big one after an hour or so.(6#-10oz) and then 2 more in the 2-3# range. I thought that I was going to get skunked again until we neared the boat launch and I got one around 2#. This is a great lake with lots of big bass. No gas motors allowed. The boat launch is a joke. Two big boulders are right in front so you have to carry your boat over them. There is also a dock to fish from at the launch. Perch, bluegill and crappie are also present when the water warms. I think this lake is getting cleaned up as the milfoil has gotten less in the last 2 years. Summer time can be very weedy and rowing is the only way to get around. The wind starts blowing around 10am everyday until 7 in the evening. Please catch and release all bass as this is a small lake and it has taken many years to get these great bass to trophy size. I have landed several 7-8# bass in the last 5 years out of this lake.
