Took advantage of the holiday to look for a few silvers with my brother-in-law TomS. We blasted out of Shilshole and headed for Pt No Pt for the tide change. Found a bunch of boats and bait more towards Pilot Point. We saw lots of fish arcs on the sounder, and took a couple of passes between Pilot and PtNoPt. I had on a Hotspot and a green Grand Slam bucktail. Tom had a Hotspot and a Coho Killer.

About 7:30 I got a small 3 pound resident silver in the boat. The next two fish also came on my pole. Tom reeled in about a 10 pound clipped fin blackmouth that looked like a football and took a great first run from the boat. A fun fight and a good release. I got about an 8 pound blackmouth on the next pass, which we also released. As the tide was running pretty good by then, we moved around the other side of PtnoPt, where Tom got another big blackmouth on a squid and strip rig. We couldn't find any more silvers, and didn't see any netted near us.

About 11:00 or so, we moved over west of Scatchet Head, still looking for silvers. We saw lots of small arcs on the screen, from 50 down to about 90, but didn't get any hits. I think the fish were pinks, and we didn't try for them. Hope the ocean silvers show up soon!
