Paul and I decided to give Redondo a shot since the Nisqually kings aren't around in numbers yet. We arrived at the ramp and after setting two crab pots started fishing about 0800. I had just set my line and Paul was setting his line when my rod went off. After a short battle and a fin-check Paul put the net on the king. A little while later Paul's rod went off. After a quick fish I.D. I told Paul he could keep the fish. It was a small coho. Perfect BBQ size.

We fished until 1230 without any more action not even in the two crab pots.

At the ramp, the fish checker couldn't believe we had brought back two fish. Apparently, our two fish were part of a four fish total brought back for two dozen boats.

How big was your king and what is your set up. also how deep were you running at and how deep was the water.

I am guessing the king weighed eight or nine pounds. The batteries in my digital scale were dead. The king was 27" in length.

I was using a white/glow hoochie behind a green Hot Spot with 70' of cable out in 90' of water.
